Paestum/Southern Italy: Hera Temple, built in about 460-450 BC. It has been variously thought of as a temple dedicated to Poseidon. The temple was also found to be used to worship more than just Hera but also Zeus and another unknown god.
During Easter vacation I had the luck to visit these famous, Greek temple ruins of Paestum and get a lots impressions back home with.
Paestum is a major Graeco-Roman city in the Campania region of Italy. It is located in the north of Cilento, near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, about 85 km SE of Naples.
Cilento with the Archaeological sites of Paestum and Velia belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage.
I highly adore the colors
