My Selfmade B'Elanna by BarbaraPommerenke My Selfmade B'Elanna by BarbaraPommerenke
Playmates never made a 9" B'Elanna Star Trek action figure. So I needed to create one for my lonely Tom Paris.
Base of my B'Elanna are the original 9" Star Trek Playmates action figures.
I created B'Elanna's face by the use of FIMO SOFT while watching a few screenshots. The material gets hard by heating it in the oven. The head I made in two halfs, so glueing them together by the help of two component epoxy glue, the head fits well around the neck joint. Now B'Elanna can turn her head like every "normal" Playmates doll.
I colored her face using high quality acrylic color (MARABU). A Colorless semi-gloss FIMO varnish protects the paint.
For the body I got a female Star Trek model (Jadzia Dax) and the uniform is "sponsored" by Tuvok. Of course, the uniform needed to be changed a little bit to fit the slimmer female body and also the rank pins had to be changed into the rank bar of the former Maquis (golden permanent marker/acrylic color).

Nice job! Question (probably rhetorical): Why was it that B'Elanna never wore a bang since she was so self-conscious about her Klingon forehead and was so determined that her child not have one like hers.

B'Elanna was an outsider as a kid being half Klingon. She didn't like her Klingon side in the beginning which caused her more problems than benefit. Later she realized that she needed both her "halfs". There are two Voyager episodes about that: Faces and Lineage I suggest you to watch.
...and thanks for the nice comment!

from what i remember B'elanna wore a headband to hide her Klingon forehead, because she WAS self-conscious. but she latter learned that it is nothing to be ashamed of, and that's what she tried to teach Miral when she was born.
