My homeland Mecklenburg is a scenic part of Northern Germany.
Last May on a bicycle trip I experienced something really rare and sweet: On a quiet and sunny way along a woods there a doe /female roe deer) fed its only a few days old fawn. We instantly stood still and the deer didn't see or smell us. So we could watch the scene for a while, until both of them disappeared in the woods. I managed to quickly take a photo and so I was able to paint the scene later at home.
BTW: The shadows on the way might be confusing. They are neither made by the tree trunks nor by the fence. These are the big overhanging branches, which are shading the sandy way.
dont be so harsh - it looks great. I tried oil once, but it is a succer to dry...so nothing for me. Last time I used water colours was in... school? 15 years ago maybe
Thanks so much again. I paused with painting for around 16 years, because family went first. Now I'm reviving my skills. Not all works the same as well and fast, lol. But if you don't try... you know , maybe once you try painting again!
